03

What are the treatment options for missing teeth?

The most recommended treatment options for missing teeth are dental implants, dentures, and bridges. Dental implants look and function like natural teeth. Dentures and bridges are also great options for restoring your smile and improving your quality of life.

04

What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are titanium root replacements that are gently placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. These anchors act as tooth root substitutes. The underlying jawbone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. Once the implants are ready to be restored with artificial teeth, small posts are attached to the implants, which provide stable anchors for artificial replacement teeth

05

Benefits of Dental Implants?

Once you learn about dental implants, you finally realize there is a way to improve your life. When you lose several teeth – whether it’s a new situation or something you have lived with for years – chances are you have never become fully accustomed to losing such a vital part of yourself. Dental implants can be your doorway to renewed self-confidence and peace of mind. Implants are recommended over other reconstructive techniques for several reasons. It is not beneficial to sacrifice the structure of surrounding teeth to bridge a space. Removing a denture or a partial at night can be inconvenient. Dentures that slip can cause discomfort and embarrassment. Because dental implants are gently placed into the underlying jawbone, the recovery from the procedure is often associated with minimal discomfort throughout recovery.

06

Are implants the right choice for me?

Dental implants are an ideal solution for replacing missing teeth and restoring your smile if you have one or more missing teeth, are in good overall health, have adequate bone density to support the implant, and do not have active gum disease or other oral health issues.

How to take care of my implants?

Proper oral care and regular dental visits are essential for the long-term success and longevity of your dental implants. To properly care for your dental implants, maintain good oral hygiene, floss regularly, use an antimicrobial mouthwash, and avoid harmful habits such as smoking or biting on hard objects. Attend regular dental check-ups and professional cleanings, and report any concerns if you notice any changes or experience discomfort around your implants.

What Are the dietary restrictions after implant placement?

08

After getting dental implants, it is recommended to follow certain dietary restrictions during the healing process. Avoiding foods that are hard, crunchy, spicy, acidic, or sticky will help with the healing process. After your dental implants are healed, there may no longer be strict dietary restrictions.

With the all-on-4 method, you don’t need to replace every tooth with an implant. Instead, as few as 4 implants serve as the anchors to hold a permanent denture.

Are all-on-4 implants better than dentures?

19

Traditional dentures are removable and typically a final resort for most patients. Why? They’re high-maintenance, limit the foods you can eat, and don’t support the health of your jaw bone.

Conversely, all-on-4 implants use 4 (and up to 8) implants as attachment points to support a custom-made denture. This method ensures your denture doesn’t fall out or shift on your gums and is much more comfortable and natural-looking.
